Beyond the Page:
A Collage Paper Puppet Workshop

This workshop is inspired by paper puppetry‭. ‬Paper puppets exist in many cultures and take many forms‭ ‬‮!‬ From traditional Chinese shadow play to Western paper puppet theatre‭.‬

 

In this workshop, we are not trying to recreate any specific tradition‭. ‬Instead‭, ‬we gently explore how paper‭, ‬texture‭, ‬shape‭, ‬and‭ ‬light can work together in a playful way‭.
‬

Through collage‭, ‬we will build our own paper characters and watch them come to life‭ .‬
